OHA SUMMER HANG, July 28 – 31, Hiram, Maine.

The Ossipee Valley Music Festival is fast approaching, and with it, the opportunity to catch a weekend of music and mingling with fellow OH just south of the Whites. The lineup is truly stellar, the setting bucolic and relaxed (the Ossipee rivers flows right by the site), and OH and current croo will be there! Join us!

The event is produced by OH Bill Johnson, a local farmer and woodworker. He’s been kind enough to offer any dues-paid OH a 5% discount for online tickets just for mentioning the code: OVMFOH2002. Hut croos and Trail Crew (featured in the photos) have known about “Ossipee” for years. Come find out what you’ve been missing. (Photos by Andy Gagne and Leo Norton.)

This year’s line-up is mind-blowingly good and includes everything from bluegrass (Della Mae, Molly Tuttle, and Sierra Hull, to name a few), to country, blues, trad folk, Americana, and even a Senegalese kora player and the internationally renown Ukranian folk ensemble Dakha Brakha.

If you play music yourself, all the better. The campground jams can be epic. I’m (Stroker)  down with hosting anyone who wants to swing by my site to lay down some tunes with me and my posse (in the trees, due N of the public showers).
