To Friends and Colleagues,
This note provides an update on plans for the memorial gathering for Charlie Burnham on August 13, 2022, at noon, at the AMC Highland Center. The event planners appreciate those who have taken the time to register, either online or by mail. At the moment we are expecting over 60 people to attend. The menu options for lunch and dinner are well in hand, and we will be able to accommodate those of you who have requested, for example, a vegetarian alternative. Accommodations in the White Mountains are filling up as the summer season arrives, so if you have not yet made plans of where to stay, time to get cracking on that! The AMC Highland Center itself is one option. Their phone number is 603-466-2727, and our Group Number is #605828.
Most of you have indicated that you will attend the gathering, but some will be unable. Therefore Brian and I, as longtime friends and colleagues of Charlie, have established an online tool for you to contribute stories, photos, and anything else on your mind. All these contributions will be gathered into a memory book that Mary Sue is preparing. So whether or not you plan to attend, feel free to follow the instructions below and have your say.
Shortly you will be receiving an email from a company called Newlywords, with an invitation to contribute something to an online memory book. This email will come from [email protected], so please ensure that the email does not fall into your spam folder. Read the introduction, and then click to contribute. The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2022. You will receive reminders from an automated system as the deadline approaches. This date will allow time to compile a printed version of the book before the gathering. At the event itself there will also be a physical book in which you can add additional thoughts.

We are overjoyed with the news that so many of you will be joining us on August 13 to remember Charlie. However, we know that some of you will be unable to
